Goo Goo Dolls Bio and Musical History

Formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1986, Goo Goo Dolls grew from punk and alternative-rock beginnings into one of the best-known pop-rock bands of the late 1990s. Frontman and guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist and vocalist Robby Takac have sustained the group's career across more than a dozen studio albums, pairing melodic rock arrangements with emotionally direct songwriting.

The 1998 album Dizzy Up the Girl became a defining release, featuring “Iris,” “Slide,” and “Black Balloon.” “Iris,” also associated with the film City of Angels, became a major radio hit and a signature live moment. Other notable songs include “Name,” “Here Is Gone,” and “Big Machine.” The band's more recent catalog includes 2022's Chaos in Bloom, with tracks such as “Miracle Pill” and “New Day Coming.”

The group's live shows are built around guitar-led rock, dynamic lighting, and a catalog that spans generations of fans. “Iris” is especially known for its communal singalong appeal. For this date, the supplied lineup also features British rock band The Struts and veteran hard-rock act Def Leppard.

Delta Center Venue and Seating Information

Delta Center is a major indoor arena in downtown Salt Lake City, suited to large-scale concerts with a full stage production. Arena seating typically combines floor sections with tiered seating around the stage. The exact layout and available sections can vary by event configuration, so check the seating map when choosing tickets.

Floor seats can put concertgoers close to the performers, while elevated sections generally provide a wider view of the stage and production. For a multi-act show, consider sightlines as well as proximity when comparing options; no specific section is guaranteed to offer the best view for this event.

Delta Center Parking Information

Parking availability, prices, and operating arrangements may change by event. Check current event-day guidance from the venue or local parking operators before traveling, and allow extra time for downtown traffic and garage access.

• Look for event-day parking in nearby downtown garages and surface lots; confirm walking distance, availability, and rates before arrival.
• Consider public transportation or drop-off options to reduce the need to find a space near the arena during a busy concert.
